About Sheila Banga

Sheila Banga

Sheila works in pencil, soft pastel, pencil crayon and acrylic. She received formal art training at the University of Regina, receiving her Bachelor of Education majoring in Fine Art. After years of doing "other things" she was finally able to find the time to renew her passion for art. Pet Portraits are one of my favorites. Many of the portraits are memorials. Being able to capture the personality and likeness of the subject can sometimes be a challenge, especially when working from old photographs that are often not the best quality. There is great pleasure when a successful portrait is complete and you have brought happiness to their family. After a memorial portrait of Jazzy, a nineteen year old black lab/border collie...
